Event Details:

Residents of participating municipalities will have the opportunity to acquire a variety of native tree and shrub seedlings through designated giveaway locations during this year’s Community Trees initiative.

Native plants play an important role in this region’s natural ecology, and the Community Trees initiative provides residents with a great opportunity to support that role by planting on urban and rural properties and helping to increase forest cover across the Quinte region.

Please note:

  • Each municipality determines the amount of seedlings residents may take as quantities are limited.
  • Participants are asked to bring a bucket, plant pot, or bags to carry their seedlings home in and to be prepared to plant them soon afterward. Download our Planting and Handling Guide
  • For questions or further event information, residents will need to contact their local municipality.
