Event Details:

Through the support of the Flood Hazard Identification Mapping Program, the Township of Tyendinaga, the Town of Greater Napanee and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Quinte Conservation is undertaking a study to update the floodplain maps along Selby Creek.

The 1981 mapping is being updated to reflect changes in the watershed over the past four decades, using current land use and climate data, as well as improved technology.

The floodplain mapping can be used to support municipal land use planning; implementation of Ontario Regulation 319/09 - Regulation of Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses; and flood forecasting, warning and response.

A public information centre will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, 5:30 - 7 pm at Selby Community Hall. We are interested in hearing any comments or concerns that you may have about this project.
